Point O’Pines is an exceptional girl’s camp in Brant Lake, New York and a new client for Ronningen Design. Their old website had served them well but was showing its age. We created a lightweight new site with a look as distinctive as their camp.

It’s All In the Details

Every new website starts with a blank canvas. As we get to know you, we listen for the little details that make your camp special. When the design begins, these details are incorporated.

For Point O’Pines, we wanted simple, effective navigation and a clean, striking visual design. After that, we rounded out the experience with some useful, and fun, details. Notice the sand in the background, and the sparkling water behind the buttons. Don’t miss the countdown and Weather at the Point at the bottom.

Every camp has a website – details like these (not to mention The Point’s stunning photography) make our client stand out from the crowd.

It Looks This Good Everywhere

People view websites in more places than ever. That’s why we test all our work in a variety of browsers across multiple platforms: Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, Android, laptops, desktops – and Point O’Pines looks sharp no matter where you look.

Much More Than A Blog

Point O’Pines requested full control over the final site and we delivered with an extensively customized installation of WordPress.

Each project is unique and our solution will be tailored to your specific needs. If you need content management, we have options. If you need custom programming, we can do that too.

Your job is to run an amazing summer camp. Our job is to make you look great doing it!

Link Building = Making New Friends

A client recently asked me to look into link building for them so I reached out to a colleague who suggested a professional link builder. The link builder offers seminars, paid consultation, and long term contracts. Search in Google and you’ll find an endless stream of blog posts, articles, etc. about how to build links. It’s big business, but…

Link Building Isn’t Rocket Science

  1. You want people to link to your website
  2. You can pay them (which might be risky)
  3. You can ask politely, or
  4. You can build a relationship

I’m not a fan of paid links. If you have to pay...

Going Mobile

I’ve been reading up on mobile usage lately, looking at the statistics, and thinking about what’s to come.

“Providing a great mobile experience is now expected, or you will lose customers.”Google Analytics Blog

Mobile has been the on-coming storm for a few years now.

The iPhone Changed Everything

Mobile usage was a dumbed down experience until the iPhone came out; the iPhone had a real browser and that was very exciting. Most websites looked pretty decent right out of the gate, thanks to the work Apple had done.

Apple released the iPod Touch, and then another iPhone,...

Nicholai, you are a man that over-delivers. I really like the look and feel of this Facebook app.
Steve Baskin, Camp Champions
You and Chuck just “get it.” You understood our vision and objective every step of the way, to the point that now it feels like you are a member of our core team.
Dan Konigsberg, CampMinder
Nicholai designed and built the website. He has done our websites since day 1. He and his group have my highest recommendation!
Jim “Jimboy” Miller IV, Camp Greystone
We have worked with Ronningen Design through several redesigns of our website. They are always professional and listen to our desires. Their greatest gift is their eye for visually stimulating websites that are classy and exciting and their sense of adventure in wanting to try new things on the website.
Glenn Breazeale, Alpine Camp
It was a pleasure working with you and we look forward to a continued relationship for many years to come.
Erin Shoulberg, Point O’Pines
Nicholai and his team are great to work with and are always accessible via phone and e-mail. Typewriter is possibly the most user-friendly blogging program on the internet.
